Furnishing has always been a way of self expression. We are willing to buy what we have a personal connection to, and what we think fits with the way we identify ourselves. I do not design for the “now,” but for the time the consumer wants to be in.
As a designer and artist my work is meant to be seen by a large audience, and to create art that is liked by that audience we need to understand where our individuality lies in our creations. “elliedoolittle”s goal is to create furniture that understands the constantly adjusting times, so that people will always be able to furnish their homes with accessories that relate to them on a personal level. furniture acts as a representative of the individual, a way to live in an environment that best compliments the ideology and aesthetic of an individual. My work is made to entice people to have a new understanding and connection with their belongings, all the while implementing a contemporary design created to showcase its convenience and style.
